Iqbal Day: Government Announced National Holiday On Nov 9. Pakistani Government has restored national holiday.
According to a report Pakistani Government has restored national holiday on November 9 at the occasion of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s birthday. Federal government issued the notification after restoration of national holiday on that day.
Sir Muhammad Iqbal born on November 9, 1877 in Sialkot. Imam Bibi and Sheikh Noor Muhammad are parents of Iqbal and they have two sons and four daughters including Iqbal.He was a poet, philosopher, and politician, as well as a barrister and scholar in British. He is also called the “Spiritual father of Pakistan”. He died at Lahore on April 21, 1938.
